About the Destination
Why Charter East Asia?
East Asia is yachting's most exciting emerging destination. Japan's Seto Inland Sea, Hong Kong's stunning harbour and outlying islands, and South Korea's largely uncharted southern archipelago offer experiences completely unlike anywhere else.
Japan's Seto Inland Sea
Over 3,000 islands dotted across sheltered, warm water — the Seto Inland Sea has been called Japan's Mediterranean. Ancient fishing villages, Shinto shrines accessible only by water, and extraordinary regional cuisine make this one of the world's most fascinating charter itineraries.
Hong Kong
Victoria Harbour at night is one of the world's great spectacles. But beyond the city, the Sai Kung Peninsula's clear turquoise waters, sea caves, and traditional villages offer a completely different experience just an hour from the skyline.
South Korea
South Korea's southern coast is one of Asia's best-kept sailing secrets — a scattered archipelago of islands with deep cultural heritage, excellent seafood, and virtually no other charter yachts.
Weather & Climate
East Asia's best sailing seasons are spring (April–June) and autumn (September–October). Summer brings the monsoon and typhoon season (July–August), when sailing is generally inadvisable. Japan's Seto Inland Sea is sheltered year-round. Hong Kong winters are mild and pleasant. Korea's summer is hot and humid outside the typhoon season.
