About the Destination
Why Charter Oceania?
Oceania delivers the South Pacific dream in its purest form. French Polynesia's Society Islands offer crystalline lagoons of impossible blue, Fiji's 300 islands are warm, welcoming, and lined with pristine reefs, while New Zealand's Marlborough Sounds and Bay of Islands provide world-class coastal cruising.
French Polynesia
Bora Bora is the most iconic anchorage in the Pacific — a dramatic volcanic peak rising from a turquoise lagoon ringed by motu (coral islets). The Tuamotu atolls offer the finest scuba diving in the Pacific with sharks, rays, and pristine coral. Moorea and Raiatea are equally spectacular.
Fiji
Fiji's 300 islands spread across 1.3 million square kilometres of the South Pacific. The Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands are classic Fiji — white sand, clear water, and exceptional diving. The Lau Group in eastern Fiji is remote, rarely visited, and utterly spectacular.
New Zealand
The Bay of Islands in the north offers 144 islands in a sheltered environment with excellent sailing. Further south, the Marlborough Sounds provide a maze of drowned valleys with spectacular scenery and world-class seafood — the green-lipped mussels and fresh crayfish are legendary.
Weather & Climate
The South Pacific sailing season is May to October — the Southern Hemisphere winter — when trade winds are reliable and the risk of cyclones is minimal. Cyclone season runs November to April. New Zealand is best November to April (Southern Hemisphere summer). Waters are warm year-round in Fiji and Polynesia at 26–29°C.
